On bosonization ambiguities of two dimensional quantum electrodynamics

  • 1. Centro Brasileiro de Pesquisas Fisicas , CBPF, Rio de Janeiro, RJ (Brazil). Dept. de Teorias de Campos e Particulas

Description

We study bosonization ambiguities in two dimensional quantum electrodynamics in the presence and in the absence of topologically charged gauge fields. The computation of fermionic correlation functions gives us a mechanism to fix the ambiguities in nontrivial topologies, provided that we do not allow changes of sector as we evaluate functional integrals. This removes an infinite arbitrariness from the theory. (author)
