Renal clearance of 99mTc-methylene-diphosphonate in human beings
Description
The renal clearance of 99mTc-MDP was measured in 13 patients who had bone scans and compared with the renal clearance of 51Cr-EDTA. No difference was found between the renal clearance of the two tracers, showing a close correlation (r = 0.98). These data suggest that the 99mTc-MDP is excreted by the kidneys by glomerular filtration without tubular secretion. (orig.)

Bei 13 Patienten mit Knochenscans wurde die Nierenclearance von 99mTc-MDP gemessen und mit derjenigen von 51Cr-EDTA verglichen. Es ergab sich kein Unterschied zwischen den beiden Tracern, aber mit r = 0,98 eine gute Korrelation. Diese Daten legen nahe, dass 99mTc-MDP ueber glomerulaere Filtration ohne tubulaere Sekretion ausgeschieden wird. (orig.)Additional details
