Description

The processes of the steel-20 structure formation at thermomechanical strengthening are studied by the method of determination of steel resistance to hot working at tension with the strain rate of epsilon = (3-6)x10-2s-1 at 850-1000 deg C. It has been established that with decreasing the deformation temperature the deformation degree corresponding to maximum strengthening increases. The initial substructure formation and grain refining influence mainly on the early stage of strengthening and intensify the effect of hot hardening. The amount of deformation strengthening does not depend on the initial structure peculiarities at dynamic recrystallization development. The strengthening stability at the hot working temperature decreases with the increase of the degree of preliminary deformation
