Europium(3) phosphate crystallization via two intermediate modifications

Description
Crystallization of europium(3) phosphate from phosphoric acid solutions was investigated. It was established that formation of EuPO4 · H2O monohydrate crystals was preceded by precipitation of two intermediate roentgen amorphous forms. Growth rates of each type particles were evaluated. Probable mechanism of transformation of intermediate forms to monohydrate was suggested. 17 refs.; 8 figs.; 2 tabs
