Organic radiation syntheses based on lower olefins and their derivatives
Creators
Description
A very brief summary is presented of radiation syntheses of organic substances derived from trifluorochloroethylene, tetrafluoroethylene and lower alcohols. Primary, secondary or tertiary alcohols are formed with fluorinated chains of various length (detergents). The radiation yield obtained is G=102 to 103. The irradiation of maleic acid in the presence of alcohols produces polycarboxylic acids (PVC plasticizers). (M.K.)
