Description
Several decades of studies of solar neutrinos lead now to clear indications that the oscillation between νe produced in the core of the Sun and other flavours (νμ or ντ ) is the correct explanation of the deficit observed by all experiments. This implies that neutrinos are massive, in contradiction with the minimal standard model of particle physics. Moreover, thanks to the SNO (Sudbury neutrino observatory) experiment, we know that solar models built by astrophysicists predict correctly the flux of neutrinos. (authors)
