Crystal structure of synthetic rare-earth germanate, Sm4Ge3O9(OH)6=Sm4[Ge6Ge26O9](OH)6

Description
Chemical formula of Sm-germanate has been established by a complete X-ray structure analysis: Sm4Ge3O9(OH)6. The parameters refined of a basal face-centered rhombic cell are: a=15.195+-0.003; b=10.909+-0.003; c=7.161+-0.002A. The coordinates of basis atoms and individual heat parameters Bsub(j) are given alongside with the main interatomic distances in the structure. The crystal structure of a new synthetic Sm-germanate turns out to be similar to that of a natural iphtisite
