EPA's radon action program
Description
This paper discusses the health effects of radon, including the risk estimates currently used by EPA and the scientific organizations that have developed these estimates. The scope and magnitude of the radon problem is also presented in the context of the EPA's National Residential Radon Survey. The paper then discusses EPA's approach to reducing the public's exposure to radon including the Agency's efforts in new and existing homes, schools, and workplaces, and presents the main themes of EPA's radon program in the near future
