Some experimental studies of transverse plasma shock waves
Description
Experimental measurements of magnetic field compression, density compression, ion temperature, and two-dimensional flow effects have been made for strong shock waves propagating at 10--30 cm/μsec in 30--400 mTorr deuterium. The results are compared with theoretical predictions
