In the year 1978, around 14.000 m3 of conditioned radioactive waste were obtained in the Federal Republic of Germany. 13.683 m3 (97,7%) of this low-level radioactive waste could be stored in the former saltmine ASSE II at Wolfenbuettel (Niedersachsen) in the framework of the final storage test programme. Corresponding to the ASSE storage requirements the wastes were packed in 30.579 containers and conveyed to the mine. (orig./HP)

Im Jahr 1978 sind in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland ca. 14.000 m3 konditionierte radioaktive Abfaelle angefallen. 13.683 m3 (97,7%) dieser schwachradioaktiven Abfaelle konnten im ehemaligen Salzbergwerk ASSE II bei Wolfenbuettel (Niedersachsen) im Rahmen des Endlager-Versuchsprogramms eingelagert werden. Entsprechend den ASSE-Einlagerungsbedingungen waren die genannten Abfaelle in 30.579 Behaeltnissen verpackt in das Bergwerk gebracht worden. (orig./HP)
