The wall rock alteration and its geochemical characteristics of uranium deposit No.302

  • 1. Beijing Research Institute of Uranium Geology, CNNC Key Laboratory of Uranium Research Exploration and Evaluation Technology, Beijing (China)

Description

The alteration characteristics in uranium deposit No.302 was elaborated, the zonation and the geochemistry characteristics was analysed in detail. It was found that near-ore wallrock alteration is with zonation in horizon and also some patterns in the vertical. It was proposed that content increases of U, Co, Cr in alteration rocks may indicate a deep origin of hydrothermal uranium mineralization. From the elements combination characteristics of the alteration zone at different level of the deposit, the exploration is still within the middle of the deposit, and therefore there is great space for deep exploration.
