Crystal structure of the EuAl compound

Description
Crystal structure of a new binary EuAl aluminide (sp.gr. Pmmn, a=5.806(2), b=9.652(4), c=10.088(4) A) is determined by the method of monocrystal (p21 autodiffractometer, ''Syntex'', MoKsub(α)-radiation, R=0.055 in anisotropic approximation for 559 reflections. The structure belongs to a new type and is relative to structures of monoaluminides of other rare earth metals CeAl and DyAl
