Description
The present work is concerned with analytical applications of radioactivity in environmental research. It has two aims. The first is to give a survey of the principles of radioanalysis in an analytically useful way; the second is to survey the important applications in the main fields of environmental research. Principles of neutron-activation analysis, prompt techniques and radiotracer methods are described. Moreover, methods of sampling water, organic material, etc. are discussed. The way radioanalysis functions in practice, is considered especially in the Netherlands. (orig./G.J.P.)
