Study of a new hepatobiliary radiotracer: sup(99m)Tc diethyl IDA. Its value in the diagnosis of cholestasis

This work examines a new means of investigation: Technetium 99 (2,6 diethyl acetanilido) imino-diacetic acid, or HEPATOBIDA, hepatobiliary scintigraphy. A survey of different scintigraphic techniques is necessary. At first the kinetic study of hepatobiliary radiotracers was carried out with multiprobe systems giving quantitative information on the various organs or pools concerned. With the appearance of the scintillation camera it became possible to obtain not only quantitative data but also topographical and morphological information. Since 1976 the derivatives of iminodiacetic acid have been widely adopted, possessing features most closely resembling those of the ideal hepatobiliatropic molecules. Examinations have been performed at the Angers Radioisotopes Service with the diethyl derivative or HEPATOBIDA (Nuclear Solca Lab.) The results recorded in a group of cholestasis patients are studied, with normal data supplied by a set of 8 reference subjects free from hepatobiliary diseases

Nous avons dans ce travail etudie un nouveau moyen d'investigation: - la scintigraphie hepatobiliaire au Technenium 99 acide (2,6 diethyl acetanilido) imino-diacetique ou HEPATOBIDA. Un rappel des differentes techniques scintigraphiques est necessaire. L'etude cinetique des radiotraceurs hepatobiliaires a ete faite initialement avec des installations multisondes permettant d'obtenir ainsi des renseignements d'ordre quantitatif au niveau des differents organes ou compartiments interesses. L'apparition de la camera a scintillation a permis d'obtenir en plus de ces donnees quantitatives, des renseignements d'ordre topographique et morphologique. Depuis 1976, ce sont surtout les derives de l'acide iminodiacetique qui ont ete retenus. Ils possedent en effet les caracteres les plus proches de la molecule ideale a tropisme hepatobiliaire. Utilisant le derive di-ethyle ou HEPATOBIDA (Lab. Solca Nuclear), nous avons effectue a ANGERS un certain nombre d'examens dans le service des radio-isotopes. Nous avons etudie les resultats enregistres dans une serie de malades porteurs de cholestase, les donnees normales etant fournies par une serie de 8 temoins indemnes d'affection hepatobiliaireFiles
