Peculiarities of defects generation in CaCO3:Pb crystals

  • 1. Karagandinskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ., Karaganda (Kazakhstan)

Description

Processes of defects accumulation of CO33- and CO3- types in result of ionizing radiation on CaCO3 are considered. Studies of examined processes dependence from a lattice size, a concentration of initial defects (dose capacity) and an irradiation duration are carried out. It was determined, that during irradiation dose increase the ratio of survival defects to initial concentrations of defects grows up to 0.15 ratio and then saturates. Obtained experimental data and conducted mathematical simulation allow to suppose that low-temperature peak of thermally induced luminescence related with correlated genetical pairs CO33- and CO3-, which begin recombinate at lower temperature, than CO33- and Pb3+ centers
