Strong coupling analysis of the SO(3) lattice gauge theory at different space-time dimensionalities
Description
High order strong coupling series for free energy, internal energy and specific heat are constructed to study the SO(3) lattice gauge theory at space-time dimensionalities from d=2 to 7. Pade approximants are used to look for singularities. First-order phase transitions for d=4, 5, 6 and 7 are clearly detected. A second-order phase transition seems to be present in the three-dimensional case. (orig.)
