Overview on phenomena of mechanical energy release in the CABRI-experiments
Creators
- 1. Kernforschungszentrum Karlsruhe GmbH (Germany, F.R.). Inst. fuer Neutronenphysik und Reaktortechnik
Description
Mechanical energy release phenomena observed in the CABRI-experiments are described and discussed. Intensifying and mitigating effects are identified. They are caused by fission gases, inertia effects, pressure dissipation and the fuel enthalpy increase rate after pin failure. (orig.)
