Probing timing problems in drift chambers

In this letter we describe a method developed to identify time-like problems in the DELPHI inner detector drift chamber. This method can be used in any drift chamber if the experimental apparatus contains another high resolution detector which can be used as a reference detector. The novelty of this method is its capability to easily detect time-like shifts which jitter event by event. (orig.)
