The energy dependence of the p-air cross section between 1-100 TeV and the primary spectrum
- 1. Leeds Univ. (UK). Dept. of Physics
Description
The sea level differential energy spectrum of hadrons has been measured between 0.5 - 20 TeV. The data are compatible with the Goddard spectrum of protons extrapolated to 100 TeV assuming a total p-air cross section increasing with ln E, or with the Grigorov primary spectrum if the cross section is constant.
