Spatial distribution of fission products in spent fuel samples by autoradiography
Description
Autoradiography was used in this work as an inspection technique to study the distribution of elements in the cross section of the nuclear fuel. It is based on the fact that the fuels (and its products) are emitting alpha, beta and gamma rays before and after irradiation . The results showed that the fission products are homageneously distributed over the cross-section of irradiated fuel.(2 tabs., 34 figs., 28 refs.)
