Description

Molecular Sieve-3A which encapsulates about 160 atm of Kr gas in α- and #betta#-cages has been studied. o-Ps yield was larger compared to vacant MS-3A. The lifetime of o-Ps was the same for MS-3A containing Kr only in #betta#-cage and vacant MS-3A. This suggests that o-Ps prefers α-cage to #betta#-cage probably because the volume is larger. The rate of pick-off annihilation with Kr in the α-cage agreed well with values obtained for bulk of Kr gas. (Auth.)
