Actual problems of forage production under the conditions of radioactive contamination of the territory

The paper deals with basic problems on organization of forage base under the conditions of radioactive contamination of the Ukrainian farmlands, whose solution permits decreasing or almost completely preventing ingress of radionuclides into human organism already at the initial stage of soil-plant-animal-man chain. The main principles of using natural meadows, where the production of 'pure' forage is one of the most important problems, and of rational organization of forage production on soils with various agrotechnical characteristics and contamination levels are reported
