Description
This paper will cover eight years of continual decommissioning of four damaged nuclear facilities that constructed at AL-Tuwatha nuclear center, the paper will illustrates all operable measures that taken to protect the environment and peoples living within the surrounding area during the activities of removal these facilities. After ending emergency and stabilization phases, unlike the normal decommissioning process, changes necessarily needed prior starting the post emergency phase, many changes that may be imposed and may expanded to involve most topics those with relevant to main areas of decommissioning and remediation such as: pre-planning, strategic planning, organization, responsibilities, project management, wastes managements, funding mechanism, technical issues, legal framework, regulatory issues and stake holders engagements.
