Description
Absorption lines of water vapor at around 12100 cm-1 have been examined by using a diode laser spectrometer. The employed sources are double heterostructure AlGaAs diode lasers operating in free-running mode. Wavelength modulation spectroscopy along with the 2nd harmonic detection technique have been adopted in order to maximize the signal to noise ratio. The instrumental effects and the amplitude modulation always present with these sources have been taken into account. Collisional broadening and shifting coefficients have been measured at room temperature
