Effects of electrochemical reduction of uranyl complexes in propylene carbonate

Description
The electrochemical reduction of uranyl/acyl-4-pyrazolone-5 complexes, involving several substituent groups on the pyrazolone, was carried out on a mercury electrode, using propylene carbonate as solvent. The analysis of the redox behaviour of a set of three complexes illustrated that stable reduced uranium complexes were obtained from U(VI) complexes through direct electrolysis. (author)
