D*± meson production and charm structure function in deep inelastic scattering at HERA
Creators
Description
Inclusive D*± differential cross sections have been measured in deep inelastic scattering at the ep collider HERA using data collected with the H1 detector over the kinematic range 2 GeV2 < Q2 < 100 GeV2, 0.05 < y < 0.7, pTD*± > 1.5 GeV and vertical bar ηD*± vertical bar < 1.5. The good agreement with the Next-to-Leading Order QCD prediction allows the extraction of the charm contribution Fc2(x, Q2) to the proton structure function
