Description
Studies of the magnetic phase diagram of terbium single crystal of high purity are presented. Measurements of the elasticity modulus along the axis of easy magnetization as functions of temperature and external field were carried out. The results allow to determine the values of critical fields (Hcr) of magnetic phase transitions and to construct the phase diagram of terbium. The anomalous behaviour of Hcr(T) observed in the vicinity of 223.5 K might be caused by the commensurability effect
