Study on the possibility of creation of secondary standard for radionuclide activity unit on the basis of available measuring instruments

Description

A study was made on the possibility of creation of secondary standards of radionuclide activity (ANR) on the basis of available measuring instruments (MI). It is established that secondary standards could be realized as parts of radiometric sources of α- and β-radiations of 1P9-6P9, 1S0-6S0 type and radiometric units RIS-03 (with gas-discharge flow-type proportional counters), UPI (with scintillation detection units). Results of study of calibration characteristics of radiometric sources and devices showed, that secondary RNA standard provided reproduction, storage and transmission of radionuclide activity unit size and external α-, β-radiation of radionuclide sources according to the state reference diagram. The secondary standard, as a part of investigated MI, enables to certity standard measuring devices and calibrate precise operating ones in places of application. 5 tabs
