Organization and optimization of NPP outages
Description
The principal activities during a scheduled NPP outage can be summarized as: refuelling; in-service inspections; repairs; preventive maintenance; and retrofitting. The objective of outage planning is to achieve optimal scheduling of the maintenance, repair and in-service inspection so that these can be performed to the required safety standards in the shortest possible time while fully complying with plant and occupational safety and health requirements
