Instability of plasma-moving conductor system

Description
Results of investigation into the linear stage of instability in plasma-moving conductor system (PMC-instability) are presented. Development of PMC-instability leads to excitation of proper plasma oscillations near the souce as well as of current and potential in the conductor. Excitation thresholds and increments of current instability in the conductor are found in the logarithm approximation with regard to electromagnetic wave radiation, particle collision, plasma gyrothropy and restrictedness. PMC-instability increments can sufficiently exceed the time-of-flight by plasma particles of the conductor, which sufficiently differs the instability under consideration from the Pierce one
