COPMA-III demonstrator using HTML and JAVA applets

Description

Fast and reliable utilisation of the process operation documentation during the work in the control room of the nuclear power plant is an important part of present safety precautions. These days are used for this purpose in many countries information systems for control and presentation of technological procedures. This report shows an idea of people of the Information technologies division of VUJE Tmava Inc about an architecture and possibilities of implementation one of such a system (in the following COPMAIII-vuje). The basic requirements put on this system come from an experience of the project developers of the project COPMA within the scope of the program OECD HRP which are described in the report HWR-385. The developers at VUJE were trying in their design by a goal: to design an architecture of the system that would satisfy specified requirements and it would be implemented in modem information environment. To this purpose where accomplished activities on a prototype of COPMAIII-vuje that contributed to some important conclusions. It has been observed that the technology of INTRANET/INTERNET fulfils the requirements for the design and using of the system. There were proposed new modules for the architecture of COPMAIII: ''workflow manager'' and ''procedure manager''. With no doubts a most important change is in a proposal of using a database format as a format for internal procedure description. (author)
