SNR 2: specific design features for the next European breeder plant
Description
The design of SNR 2 is the approach for a 1500 MWe breeder plant to be constructed in Germany in the nineties, taking into account the lessons learned primarily from SNR 300 in Germany and SPX 1 in France. The prime target of its design is to obtain a fast breeder reactor having power generation costs competitive with current German light-water reactors and with at least an equal safety level. (author)
