Calorimetric measurement results on Tore Supra

  • 1. Association Euratom-CEA Cadarache, 13 - Saint-Paul-lez-Durance (France). Dept. de Recherches sur la Fusion Controlee

Description

Calorimetric measurements are operational at Tore Supra. They can be efficiently used to derive the flux maps on the inner wall components and to characterise their operation and performance (e.g. Ergodic divertor, new generation inner first wall etc.). They also give insight to the physics of power deposition which too often relies on partial and not space integrated measurements. Since upgrading this system at the beginning of 1998, when some important sensors and electronics were replaced, encouraging results have been obtained on the global energy balance of the shots. A continuous effort is still required to maintain these sensors, electronics and acquisition and to check the quality of all the data. (author)
