Description
Measurements of work function of electrons under aluminium and nickel deformation were conducted. Performance of loading and unloading cycles leads to reversible changes of work function values. The observed phenomena were explained by change of electron density under deformation, by processes of dislocation emergence to the surface and relaxation phenomena during unloading. Calculation of work function of electrons for elastic-deformed monocrystal was conducted by the method of density functional calculation results agree with the experiment
