Measurements and comparison with calculations of neutron leakage spectra from U, Pb, Be spheres with central 14-MeV neutron source

Description
Objective of the work was to obtain experimental data on the neutron leakage spectra from uranium, beryllium and lead spheres with a central 14-MeV neutron source using the time-of-flight method with a spectrometer based on a KG-0.3 cascade generator. The obtained data were compared with the calculation results of the BLANK code with nuclear data files from ENDL-75, ENDF/B-IV and UKNDL. Differences and discrepancies found between experiment and calculation are separately discussed for U, Pb, Be and the data files used. (author)
