Results on D and Ds decays from Mark III

Description

The decays D0 → π-e+νe and D0 → K-e+νe are observed in a sample of e+e- → ψ(3770) events collected with the Mark III detector at SPEAR. The branching fractions are measured. The ratio of Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix elements is obtained under the assumption that the form factors f+K(0) and f+π(0) are equal. A study of the absolute Ds+ hadronic branching fractions is made. The 90% confidence level limit B (Ds+ → Φπ+) < 5.9% is established
