Use of cyclodextrins for separation of enantiomers

  • 1. Department of Chemistry, M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow (Russian Federation)

Description

The review surveys data on the use of cyclodextrins as chiral selectors in high-performance liquid chromatography and capillary electrophoresis. The mechanisms of enantiomer separation and the factors influencing the selectivity and efficiency of separation in various methods of chromatography and capillary electrophoresis are considered. Numerous examples of the practical application of cyclodextrins in separation of optical isomers are given.
