Primary heat transport system for Pressurised Heavy Water Reactors
Description
The objective of this safety guide is to provide bases for the design of the primary heat transport and associated systems in Pressurised Heavy Water Reactors (PHWRs) so as to achieve nuclear safety, hereinafter referred to as 'safety' through appropriate design provisions and engineered safety features, as elaborated in section 0500 of AERB Code No. SC/D, Code of Practice on 'Design for Safety in Pressurised Heavy Water Based Nuclear Power Plants', 1989, hereinafter referred to as the 'code'. This guide outlines the safety requirements for the design of Primary Heat Transport and Associated Systems (PHTAS)
