Description

P-odd asymmetry is treated in scattering of polarized electrons by even-even nuclei with excitation of various levels of the giant resonance (1-, T=1, S=0; 1-, T=0 or 1, S=1; 2-, T=0 or 1, S=1). It is shown that measurement of the asymmetry for isovector and isoscalar levels of the giant resonance will allow to obtain, in a model-independent manner, information on the structure of the P-odd part of the Lagrangian for eN interaction. The asymmetry arising due to the electroexcitation of the giant resonance, summed over all levels under consideration, is numerically estimated in the framework of the Weinberg-Salam theory. The asymmetry A=-1.4x10-5 at the energy of the initial electrons E=200 MeV and scattering angle theta=150 deg. The E and theta dependence of the asymmetry is presented. The absolute value of the asymmetry is shown to increase with E and theta
