Description
Preliminary direct measurements, based on autoradiography, have confirmed indirect suggestions, obtained by potentiometric and isotopic techniques, that chloride-sulphate exchange on anionic resins at low salinity is not controlled by ion diffusion alone. Further, experimental evidence has shown that rate mechanisms vary not only among different anionic resins, but also for the same resin if direct or reverse exchange is considered. (orig.)
