Tokamak fusion test reactor facility clock system
Description
The TFTR real time clock system provides the timing and synchronization of events for the total TFTR facility. Event times such as Start of Count, Start of Pulse and Start of Discharge are encoded on a Bi-Phase-Level serial clock signal which is distributed throughout the facility. Hardware in the CAMAC crates can detect the event times encoded on this clock signal and after a preset delay, generate a trigger pulse as required. The hardware used in this system is primarily standard CAMAC hardware. Three special modules were designed to handle the unique requirements of this system
