Design of a beam line for secondary radioactive ions

Description
On the basis of a bending magnet and a quadrupole doublet, a beam transport system is designed. It will be used in separating and purifying secondary radioactive beams of ions such as 6He, 7Be, 8Li, 11C, 12B, 13N, 15O and 17F. The parameters which may effect the system performance are optimized by suing TRANSPORT code. The purification of secondary beams is discussed in detail
