Concentration dependence of configuration entropy of cubic zirconium carbide
Description
The near order of vacancy distribution in nonmetal sublattice of nonstoichiometric zirconium cubic carbide depending on its composition at 2000 and 3000 K is calculated. The formula to calculate the entropy of nonstoichiometric carbides and nitrides of transition metals with the structure of NaCl type is derived. Entropy of cubic zirconium carbide depending on its composition in the region of homogeneity at 2000 and 3000 K which is compared with the results of its estimation in the approximation of regular solution, is calculated according to this formula and quantitative data
