Description
Using chemical milling techniques, vacuum leak tight beryllium foils of thickness as low as 2 mils (50 microns) and 14 mm diameter have been prepared. Larger diameter foils of such low thickness can also be prepared using the same system. The technique has also been very effectively applied to remove surface and sub-surface cracks and defects of machined beryllium components. (author). 5 figs., 4 tabs., 3 refs
