Electron beam detector for the experiment E831 at Fermilab

Description
We describe the construction and testing of Proportional Wire Chambers for the experiment E831 at Fermilab. Two chambers with a total of 6 wire planes and the associated electronics have been built at CBPF as part of the contribution to the experiment. The chambers will be placed in the electron-positron beam, just before the photon radiator, and will allow a better knowledge of the beam divergence
