Pulmonary carcinoid tumorlets

Description
There exists a rare pathological entity that produces multiple tiny interstitial pulmonary nodules that can be detected by computerized tomography (CT). These lesions are pulmonary carcinoid tumorlets. There are almost no references to this peripheral carcinoid form in the literature. We present a case, stressing the histological features of the lesion. 6 refs
