Mechanical behavior of rolled AA 1050 under uniaxial tension at different temperatures
- 1. University of Aveiro, Aveiro (Portugal). Centre for Mechanical Technology and Automation
Description
The mechanical behavior and dislocation microstructure upon uniaxial tension at different temperatures are analyzed for pre-strained AA 1050. It was shown that the flow behavior of AA 1050 strongly depends upon temperature. Attention was focused on the post uniform deformation which affects the formability of sheet metals. Namely, for uniaxial tension performed at 150 deg. C, a steady state was observed, giving rise to improved material formability. The phenomenon was explained based on the balancing effects of dislocation multiplication and the dislocation annihilation. (author)
