Structure of nonstoichiometric Ba0.78Nd0.22F2.22 crystal
Description
Ba0.78Nd0.22F2.22 monocrystals are grown from a melt using Stockbarger technique. Fluorite type cubic phase is studied by means of x-ray diffraction. The parameters of elementary cell are as follows: a=6.098 and a=6.075 A under T=296 and 170 K, respectively, sp.gr. Fm3m. Behaviour of the specimen structure parameters at transition from the room temperature to 170 K is studied. 18 refs.; 4 figs.; 2 tabs
