Hydrogenated amorphous boron: Transient and steady state photoconductivity
Description
The transient and steady state photoconductivity of amorphous hydrogenated boron films (a-B:H) have been measured, together with the magnitude of the photoresponse as a function of both illumination intensity and absorbed photon energy. The a-B:H films have been produced by two different methods based on the glow discharge technique. The best photoconductivity values found for the a-B:H films are approximately 10-9 Ω-1 cm-1, and with this value the mobility-lifetime product can be calculated as approximately 1.6 x 10-6 cm2/V
