New vacuum chamber for mirror of the beamlines of the LNLS

Description

In this paper we show the development, construction and installation of a new focusing mirror vacuum chamber for the LNLS beamlines. The main characteristic of this project is the use of aluminum wire as the sealing element in big sized rectangular flanges and the care with the mechanical isolation between the internal components and the vacuum chamber and its support.
